Eyeliner FAQ

Due to the longevity of permanent cosmetic eyeliner procedures it is best to opt for a subtle enhancement that accentuates your eyes without being over the top. Beautifully defined eyes give the face an instant lift and depth of expression. Eyes appear larger and more alluring.

Permanent Cosmetic Eyeliner is applied around the contours of the eyes with a digital machine to enhance and define the eyes, be it with a subtle eyelash enhancement or a thicker “statement” eyeliner to suit your desired look/result and eye shape. Whatever it is you are trying to achieve, Karolina will work with you and guide you towards the most complementing style to match your individual preferences.

We choose from a variety of colors to create a soft look or more intense shades for a more dramatic impact.

Besides convenience, a Cosmetic Eyeliner Tattoo is the perfect solution for anyone with allergies, contact lens sensitivity, dexterity issues, vision problems, oily skin which causes makeup to smear, an active lifestyle, sparse lashes or those who want to subtly enhance their gaze. The artistic placement of color and line can also help correct the appearance of certain eye shapes and facial asymmetry. Eyeliner is for both men and women.

It is highly recommended that you follow Pre & Post Care instructions to ensure the best possible results and longevity of your eyeliner tattoo. This information acts as a guideline only. We cannot guarantee results. Each client’s skin responds differently both in how long it takes to heal and the number of sessions needed for color retention and desired results. It is important that you take good care of your eyeliner while healing and beyond.

Pre Care

  • Do not wear mascara on the day of the procedure.

  • Have the eyes free of makeup and moisturizer.

  • You can bring sunglasses to wear on your way home. Eyes may be light sensitive and swollen.

  • If you wear eyeglasses, please bring those to your appointment

  • If you wear contact lenses, you must remove them before the procedure.

  • It is not a bad idea to have a ride home after an eyeliner procedure if you are sensitive to light. Have sunglasses available.

  • Avoid lash tinting 2 weeks before. Do not dye or perm lashes for 2 days prior.

  • If you have had Lasik or Cataract Surgery you must get medical clearance from your physician.

  • Eyelash extensions must be removed 1 week prior to your eyeliner procedure.

  • Must stop using eyelash growth serums 6 months prior to the procedure.

  • No botox injections 2 weeks prior to procedure in eye area only.

  • The skin must be free of all irritations including blemishes, eczema, and psoriasis.

  • Must not be on Accutane medication for one year prior to getting a Cosmetic Tattoo.

  • Discontinue the use of any anti-aging, skin brightening or anti-acne skincare products. Particularly those that contain Alpha Hydroxy (AHA), Vitamin A, Retinol. Ideally, do not use these products for 30 days prior to your appointment, and yes, even if you do not use it near the area to be treated it does spread under your skin and your cosmetic tattoo will heal patchy. Once your tattoo has healed under the skin surface (approximately 6 weeks following your final session) you may resume your usual skin care routine.

  • Do not schedule any facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels or laser treatments for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Please avoid any type of blood thinning medication for a minimum of 72 hours prior to your procedure unless is unsafe to do so for your health. Please ask your doctor before stopping these types of medications. Such as: Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Advil, Niacin, Voltaren, Indocid. As well as Prenatal Vitamins, Vitamin E.

  • Do not work out on the day of the procedure.

  • Avoid sun tanning or tanning beds for 2 weeks prior to procedure. If you show up to your appointment with a sunburn you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit.

  • Scars from surgery or injury must be healed for at least one year prior to service.

  • Do not drink alcohol 24 hours prior to your procedure

  • Do not consume coffee or other caffeine products 24 hours prior.

What is EYELINER TATTOO?

Permanent Makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing, also known as micropigmentation. It is a cosmetic technique where pigment is inserted into the skin to resemble makeup typically achieved using a machine or manual hand tool to create permanent enhancements to the eyebrows, eyes, lips, and body.

EYELINER TATTOO is a technique of cosmetic tattooing performed specifically on the EYES. It is done by implanting pigment into the skin by using machine with acupuncture needle. That allows the artist to create the look of very perfect smudge-proof eyeliner.

How long will Lip Tint last?

Usually it last about 3-5 years years. Factors such as skin type, iron deficiency, pigment color and sun exposure can affect time at which these pigments are broken down. For best results it is recommended that you follow our aftercare instructions and touch-up your tattoo every 10-15months (or as needed). Clients with oily skin might need touch-ups more often. Final results are NOT guaranteed as everyone has different skin, and retains pigment differently. Eyeliner is usually 2 appointment process and touch ups are recommended at 5-12 weeks. Please note that it is your responsibility to come back for your touch up  before 12 week mark. (the same rule apply for clients traveling from different states or countries). Any touch up after 12 weeks will be consider Color Boost ( see in pricing tab)

Does it hurt?

Topical anesthetic is used to maximize comfort during the procedure. Every person has different pain tolerance. Receiving the procedure during your menstrual cycle usually increase your sensitivity and makes it more uncomfortable.

What can affect my Eyeliner results?

  • Bleeding during the procedure. It is very important that you follow pre care instructions to help minimize bleeding. You can find all information how to prepare for the service above.

  • Anemia and iron deficiency: Your body will absorb these iron based pigments more quickly.

  • Sun exposure: Increased exposure to the sun will cause premature fading. It is recommended that you use sunscreen on your brows after healing process is complete.

What happens during my appointment?

When you arrive for your appointment you will be asked to fill out consent forms. Your eye area will be thoroughly cleaned and topical anesthetic will be applied. While you are numbing, Karolina will go over aftercare instructions and answer all your questions. Once you have finished numbing, eyeliner designing begins. Karolina will recommend design that will suit your face. You will work together to create eyeliner that you like best and will look the most natural. You must approve the shape before Karolina begins the service.  Additional numbing will be applied during procedure to help keep you as comfortable as possible.

How long does the procedure take?

The time can vary depending on the procedure. For the initial appointment Karolina dedicates 2.5 hours. Much of that time is spent choosing design and allowing the topical anesthetics to take effect.

Are activities restricted during the healing period?

It is important to avoid saunas, facials, steam baths, activities that will result in extreme sweating, tanning salons, sun and chlorinated or salt water pools for a minimum of 1 week and preferably two weeks after a procedure.

What is your lateness policy?

We have a 15 minute late policy. Please call if you are going to be late. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment $100 deposit will be forfeited and your appointment will be cancelled.  If you want to book your next appointment, you will have to pay another deposit.
